Indonesia has 22.5 million ha of tropical peatlands, but the sustainability of these peatlands is threatened by various disturbances, one of which is fire. An early fire prevention strategy is crucial. Locations of fires can be identified based on mapped hotspot distributions. This can be used as a reference for determining the level of fire vulnerability in the studied area. This study aims to identify risk factors for peatland fires and create a map of peatland fire vulnerability in Central Kalimantan based on the distribution of hotspots in 2019. The study area of Central Kalimantan's peatlands covering an area of 2,733,754 ha was analyzed using secondary data in the form of hotspot distribution data. Overlay with fire risk factors was performed using ArcMap 10.4 software. Fire risk factors are divided into environmental factors consisting of rainfall (X1), peat depth (X2), and human activity factors consisting of road distance (X3), river distance range (X4), and land cover (X5). The relationship between hotspots and risk factors was analyzed using multiple linear regression. Risk factors are weighted according to the regression coefficient using Composite Mapping Analysis (CMA). The results showed that the weight of each risk factor for peatland fires in Central Kalimantan Province was 0.369 for rainfall (X1), 0.091 for peat depth (X2), 0.130 for road distance (X3), 0.135 for river distance range (X4), and 0.276 for land cover (X5). The fire hazardequation obtained is Y = 0.369X1 + 0.091X2 + 0.130X3 + 0.135X4 + 0.276X5. There are three classes of fire susceptibility, namely low, medium and high prone, with an area of 1,093,235 ha, 1,284,952 ha, 355,567 ha, with hazard values ranging from 10.055-99.900. In addition, the results of the hazard map overlay with district administrations show that the Pulang Pisau Regency, Katingan Regency, and Kapuas Regency which have the largest peatland area dominated by low and medium vulnerable classes. text
