Description
Summary:This paper presents a new voltage-source inverter topology based on modified buck-boost cell. Proposed voltage-source inverter has minimum differential mode (DM) and common mode (CM) ripples without extra filtering. It is shown that conventional PWM techniques and current controllers that have been developed for conventional voltage-source inverters can be applied to the proposed inverters without any modification. Detailed ripple analysis that is important in passive component determination and converter efficiency is included in this paper. Experimental results are included to show the basic performance of the proposed inverter topology.
