INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/55483 One of the variants of user interaction (UI) and user experience (UX) design development is inclusive design, which is a design methodology that accommodates as many users as possible, including normal and disabled users. Inclusive design can cover various fields of development, for example smartphone applications to fulfill daily needs such as transportation. However, currently existing transportation applications rely on mostly visual information and do not fully support visually impaired users. In this thesis, inclusive design is applied to develop a solution for the problem with visually impaired users on ordering transportations. This solution is created as an online transportation application developed with voice-based functionality such as narrator, text-to-speech and speech recognition to help visually impaired users order drivers. There are three main functionalities that can be done by the application, namely filling balances, ordering, and settings. Orders can be done based on the vehicle type and for whom it was ordered, and can be canceled. Solution development is done by using user-centered design, with low-fidelity prototype development done in the form of wireframe, and high-fidelity prototype using prototyping applications called Voiceflow and Justinmind. Voiceflow-based high-fidelity prototype is used as a representation of speech recognition functionality due to its voice input feature, and is built for balance filling and orders. Justinmind-based high-fidelity prototype is built as a base on how the application works in a smartphone and integrates text-to-speech functionality in the form of an audio file. Evaluation was carried out on the Justinmind prototype, and the results showed that an inclusive online transportation application can be developed in real terms if it is supported with functionality that suits user needs. text
