Description
Summary:Measurement and modeling of a room or indoor have their own challenges and restrictions. Measuring instruments such as total stations or receivers are difficult to use effectively, making the options for measurement in space more limited. Then came the moasure, a new measuring instrument based on motion sensor technology or a motion sensor with accelerometer and gyrometer and magnetometer. Moasure boasts ease of measurement and the ability to give measurements results almost directly or real time, but the maximum accuracy that can be obtained is considered lower than the measurement results of laser sensors in general. Currently, there are no studies that have conducted testing of the potential of moasure and motion sensor as measuring instruments. This study aims to test and develop the potential of measuring using motion sensor when compared and controlled with more conventional and affordable measurements such as a distometer. This research also resulted in several developments in the utilization of the measurement results such as a program that can form a 3D model from the measurement results. From the tests and research conducted, it was found that the control effort had a significant impact on the accuracy of the room dimensions obtained. In addition, control efforts were also found to have an impact on the room shape. The 3D model was successfully formed, but there are things that must be considered and adjusted in the data collection process towards the formation of the model. Through the results of this study, it is hoped that the use of moasure in the future can be more optimal.
