| Summary: | Sexual violence cases keep increasing in Indonesia and can occur to all categories of society, regardless of age, gender, status, and position. Women tend to be vulnerable to becoming victims, but sexual violence against men and transgendered people is also real, yet it lacks attention from the media. Sexual violence on a small or large scale is traumatic and has a negative impact on a person’s mental health. The poor justice system and the judgment from the society also exacerbates the situation for the victims. With the existence of a special trauma rehabilitation facility for violence survivors, it is hoped that it can provides recovery, therapy, support, and advocacy assistance. This facility is a safe space for sharing by all those who have experienced sexual violence and those who are concerned about this issue. Relying on the concept of healingenvironment, a safe space focused on the user’s psychological state is expected to support the trauma rehabilitation process |
