Summary: | PT Immortal Cosmedika Indonesia is a cosmetic and pharmaceutical manufacturing company located at Jalan Perkapuran Number 32, Depok City, West Java. PT Immortal Cosmedika Indonesia plans to double its factory capacity by building a new factory. It is feared that the construction of the new factory will not be able to be managed by the existing WWTP. Therefore, it is necessary to uprating PT Immortal Cosmedika Indonesia's WWTP. The quality standard intended for the uprating is the Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation 5/2014, Attachment XLVII regarding the quality standard of wastewater for businesses and / or activities that do not yet have a defined standard for wastewater quality. Influent wastewater parameters that exceed quality standards include TSS, Pb, sulfide, ammonia-nitrogen, nitrate, total nitrogen, MBAS, phenol, oil and fat, fluoride, BOD, COD, and coliform bacteria. The selection of alternative processing systems is carried out using the SAW method by producing three alternatives. The three alternatives chosen were completely mixed activated sludge (CMAS), sequencing batch reactor (SBR), and moving bed biofilm reactor (MBBR). Alternative selection criteria are selected based on literature data and existing conditions considering efficiency, reliability, sludge generation, land requirements, environmental impact, operational costs, construction costs, sustainability, and simplicity. The selected unit configuration consists of a grease trap, equalization tank, coagulation-flocculation tank, dissolve air flotation, MBBR, secondary clarifier, activated carbon adsorption tank, disinfection tank, and treated water storage tank. The sludge treatment unit selected was a gravity thickener and filter press. The total capital cost is Rp1.903.016.539, and operational and maintenance costs is Rp606.216.609,19 per year. The results of the NPV calculation are Rp149.900.273.389,01 or more than 0, so that the project is considered economically feasible. |
