By using this visual form, the writer feels that the emotions displayed can be more universal, withoutof the subjective self-print of the author's own personality. This release of subjectivity can also censor the author's feelings which are expressed in the work, to a more reasonable degree. Each circle is the author's focal point when shading at a time. That focus can distract andcalm the writer from emotional and inner problems. Catharsis is present as a reflection of the work process and the completion of the work that is considered satisfactory by the author. The author has shaded the circle many times using a ballpoint pen to fill the canvas area for the drawing process. This Final Report is the author's way of expressing his emotions in the form of a Geometric Abstraction. text |
