Summary:The incidence of tidal flooding in the Penjaringan District, Jakarta at the end of 2020 is increasingly widespread. This is very different from the conditions in 1970 where tidal flooding did not occur frequently and was not as high as the current tidal flooding. The more frequent occurrence of tidal floods has resulted in lost opportunities for some residents which harm many parties. Therefore, we need a solution to overcome these problems. One of the solutions is a structural solution in the form of a dike that is planned in this paper. This paper is accompanied by a hydrodynamic simulation of the coast using the help of Delft3D software. Coastal hydrodynamic simulations were carried out to obtain several parameters related to waves and water levels at the study location. These parameters are used to design embankments in the study location. The embankment building in this paper is designed based on applicable guidelines in Indonesia, such as: Shore Protection Manual, Coastal Engineering Manual, National Standard, and Technical Guidelines for the Ministry of Public Works. This paper is also equipped with an analysis of the stability of the embankment, a budget plan, as well as the operation and maintenance of the embankment building.
