In this case, simulation using a mathematical model can be one of the main considerations. This study wants to see how submarine landslides are able to propagate tsunami waves and estimate the maximum wave height using a mathematical model approach. The model used is based on the non-linear shallow water equation, which is then solved numerically using the finite volume method on a half grid. We also derive an analytical solution using the Laplace-Fourier transform to validate the model as well as study the tsunami phenomenon due to submarine landslides on a flat bottom. The numerical scheme of the model used is then validated by simulating and comparing the results with experimental data, use of other models, and analytical solutions. After validating, the scheme is then used to simulate a tsunami by a sea floor landslide on the Palu Coastal topographic data. The simulation gave very good results, so that it was able to estimate the maximum amplitude of the Palu tsunami in 2018 based on the data. text
