Summary:Metal rust is a waste that is commonly found in the environment. Generally, objects such as iron waste end up being abandoned because of their dysfunctionality. Rust produced from metal waste is a mineral dye that can be used because of its ability to dye and hold on to textiles permanently. Rust produces a wide variety of colors depending on the type of metal used. The research presents an exploration of rust immersion to obtain various potential colors produced by iron and copper waste. The process of color transfer involves natural mordant and artificial mordant as a color changer and character formation in textiles
