The reduction in the number of work accidents has a positive correlation with the safety climate. In this study, the Nordic Occupational Safety climate Questionnaire (NOSACQ-50) were used for assessment and safety climate discrepancies. In total, 140 respondents. The purposes of this study are to analyze the effect on the occupational safety and health management system (SMK3) and the functional level of climate safety. OHS management systems were included; (1) not yet certified, (2) nationally certified, and (3) internationally certified. While occupation levels were leader level and worker level. In addition, the analyses of the other factors affected the safety climate in the manufacturing industry. The results showed that safety climate in manufacturing industries that have been certified by OHS at both national and international levels show higher results than those that are not certified (p =0,0001). On the other hand, occupational level does not have a significant impact on the safety climate. The other factors that affected safety climate were the age of respondent, education, years on the company, and the industrial sector. It is hoped that manufacturing industries in Indonesia will be able to thoroughly apply OHS management system to reduce the number of work accidents. text |
