One of the methods for remediation soil in the environtment is soil washing using Ethylenediaminetetraaceticacid (EDTA). However, this method creates further problems related to the production of EDTA metal complexes which require further processing. One methods that can be used for processing soil washing wastewater is the electrocoagulation process. This research aims to determine the optimum conditions for remediation soil, observed the effect of pH, determine solid / liquid ratio, and EDTA concentration in the process of soil washing Pb contaminated soil. Furthermore, the optimation and application of the electrocoagulation process in the recovery of Pb from the soil washing wastewater. This method is designed as an alternative consideration for the remediation technology of lead contaminated soils in Indonesia. The result showed that the optimum Pb removal is 56% in pH 3, mixing 75 rpm. Lead (Pb) distribution coefisien (Kd) after soil washing is 5,3-26,4 L/kg. Optimation process for Pb recovery in EDTA solutions is 96 % at a voltage 7V after 80 minutes with the rate constant 0f 0,0407 min-1 and following first order model. For application of soilwashing wastewater Pb recovery efficiency is 96,7% with Pb metal rate constant was 0,0416 min-1.. text |
