Description
Summary:Predicting the distribution of air pollutants is what is needed in determining the air pollution control strategy in industry. The output of the prediction of the distribution of pollutants is generally presented in the form of a 2D or 3D model that shows the concentration of pollutants in the area under study. AERMfOD is a software commonly used to generate 2D models by calculating various meteorological and topographic parameters in the study area. The calculation process in AERMOD is done automatically so that users in general cannot know in detail what parameters have a major influence on the output of the modeled emission concentration. This study was conducted to analyze the sensitivity of variable parameters in the AERMOD software to be able to assist air pollution control strategies for point sources in industry. Based on the sensitivity analysis carried out, the sensitivity for the stack inside diameter parameter is 90.23%; the emission rate is 100%; and 81.31% ambient temperature classified as very sensitive, 79.07% gas exit temperature parameter classified as sensitive, 40.92% station pressure parameter; and 41.62% release height is quite sensitive, and the gas exit velocity parameter is 31.94%; and solar radiation 38.69% classified as not very sensitive. It was found that the emission rate parameter is the most sensitive parameter of all the parameters tested so that it can be a major consideration in determining air pollution control efforts.
