Summary: | Pananjung Village is one of the villages in the Pangandaran tourism area, West Java. The location of the village which is close to the seacoast and tourist attractions makes Pananjung Village a center for the gathering of tourists and the community in carrying out activities. In addition to the potential for natural beauty, this village in the southern part of Java Island still has a tsunami disaster. Even though a tsunami has a small level of probability, it can cause significant losses. One of the important elements that must be considered is the building because it has a function to protect humans from tsunami. Therefore, this final project aims to analyze the vulnerability of buildings from tsunami hazards with the damage ratio coefficient where there is a relationship between tsunami data and the types of existing buildings. The classification of building types is divided into three classes, semi-permanent buildings, 1-floor permanent buildings, and more than 1 floors of permanent buildings. By classifying building types based on building materials and floors, it can be argued that a semi-permanent type of building will be very vulnerable to tsunami hazards while a permanent building with more than 1 floors will be much stronger and can create a place for evacuation. Based on the spatial modeling conducted, it was found that the type of building in Pananjung Village was dominated by semi-permanent buildings as many as 2013 buildings used as places or houses with the vulnerability of buildings based on the damage ratio is quite high (51% - 70%). Then obtained five recommendations for temporary evacuation places with low levels of vulnerability. |
