Summary: | Cultural heritage supports the identity of local and national communities. The
challenge faced in the future is how this cultural heritage can survive
globalization. What is felt by traditional performing arts actors is how the world
of entertainment becomes competitive and they have to find ways to survive and
develop strategies to get back to the public's attention. Based on these problems,
data collection is carried out to find out what facilities answer the needs of
traditional and representative performing arts artists according to them. The
research method used in this research is literature review and interviews. From
the literature review, it can be seen that the strategy and standard of facilities
related to performance art and its relationship with the role of the community.
From the interview, data on the current conditions of the facilities that are
available and the condition of the artists in performing in the metropolitan city
can be obtained.
The analysis shows that the artists have not used technology effectively in their
performances. In addition, the quality of service to the audience is low because
everything is done by the artist. It takes the role of non-artists in providing
innovation and helping the welfare of artists. If the roles of artists and non-artists
become a community, the artists will not bear their own burden and can focus on
the development stage with the help of technology. Therefore, facilities are
needed where in addition to artists who can perform routine performances, they
can discuss and exchange ideas to discuss ideas and innovations for the
development of traditional performing arts |
