Description
Summary:Environmental pollution caused by plastic waste is a serious threat to the sustainability of Indonesia's natural ecosystem. Education in the environmental field needs to be given early on to develop naturalist intelligence in children. Providing education on processing plastic waste from an early age using the playing method for children is one of the preventive steps that can be taken to overcome this problem. Cibunut Village is one of the areas in Bandung City that has various environmental-based activities such as garbage banks and the Garbage Collection Movement (GPS) program carried out by children in Cibunut Village regarding trash collecting. Based on the results of the analysis, this research is then aimed at designing a children's play facility in the form of a tricycle as well as the design of a cleaning facility that utilizes recycled polypropylene (PP) plastic waste as the main material. This plastic waste is processed using the compression molding method to produce a modular and flatpack playground design. As a series of education and developing children's naturalist intelligence, at several stages the child will be involved in the process of designing this play facility, to provide an understanding of how plastic waste can be processed into functional products such as playing facilities
