Description
Summary:Indonesian traditional medicine is a culture of medication from Indonesia that has been used by ancestors and has been preserved from generation to generation as an indigenous knowledge. Over time, the consumption of herbal medicine slowly decreased. The main reasons for the lack of interest in herbal medicine is the perception, preference, and representation of its unpleasant taste and appearance. The existence of Indonesian traditional medicines is less known when compared to the popularity of traditional medicines from China and India. The reintroduction within the framework of modern society is considered capable to increase the acceptability of traditional medicines for the Indonesian natives and international market. The tourism program is designed to put the relationship and attraction between humans and their surrounding space into consideration, which will be emphasized through the interior of the museum. The facility is expected to be able to bring traditional medicine as one of the identities of Indonesia both domestically and internationally.
