ECOTOURISM APPROACH IN INTERIOR RESORT TO IMPROVE GEOPARK CILETUH TOURISM

Indonesia is a country that has abundant natural resources and can become a tourist attraction. One of them is the Ciletuh Geopark, Sukabumi Districts, in West Java, which stores geological relics that have natural beauty can be used as tourist objects. This area is located in the southern part of the city of Sukabumi which has a variety of natural resources, and is a Geopark area that has been a international Geopark by UNESCO, but is still rarely visited by tourist. Indonesia natural and cultural wealth must be preserved through various efforts, one of which is the ecotourism tourism trend, namely tourism that focuses on nature conservation. The lack of adequate lodging facilitiesfor tourist when travelling to Ciletuh Geopark is one of the obstacles. Providing designing adequate resort facilities and providing experiences to tourist is one of the ways to increase tourist visits to Ciletuh Geopark. The research method was carried out through data collection, literature study, and comparative studies of similar facilities. The expectation from the designing this resort facility is for designers to try to solve the problems that can increase tourism in the Ciletuh Geopark with the concept of a resort is close to nature, diversity, and creates relacation while traveling, and provides a new staying experience through ecotourism activities just got tourist.
