Adaptive clothing is one of the media to optimize the living conditions of people with dementia (ODD) which can solve the problem of undressing in social situations, covering up disabilities, caregivers friendly, and suitable for the physical and psychological conditions of ODD. This study aims to produce adaptive clothing with patterns and colors on textiles that are adapted to the range of the birth year and the stage/level of ODD. The design of colors and patterns becomes an important visual aspect to balance visual and psychological disorders, such as ODD's misperception of motifs and colors. Retro style that is adapted to the range of ODD’s birth years is used as stimulation to generate or train memory, reduce anxiety, and improve quality of life. The method used is a case study, with the ATZI Center as the main research place to obtain primary data (interviews and observations), also literature studies to obtain secondary data.
