The weaving motifs are also passed on to the next generation to be preserved. Over time, the meaning of these derived motifs has shifted. It is characterized by modern weavers who do not know this meaning. Of course, the weaving motif is a form of the appearance of the people of the Bima kingdom era before getting to know writing. In addition, the information related to Bima weaving is still very minimal, where in the related local woven cloth books there is no specific explanation about the weaving culture of the Bima community. The main study in this study is to analyze Bima's weaving motifs, by exploring the four main motives to find the meaning of the form contained therein. Through this study, valid data will be obtained regarding the Bima weaving motif and the meaning of its historical appearance and form. The research was conducted using a qualitative method, where in this method data collection was supported by literature studies with supporting books during research related to the phenomena or problems taken, then field observations and interviews with related sources to find out the overall motive study to match the applicable regulations, so that later the data obtained becomes more actual and can be used as documentation of Bima culture itself. From the qualitative method, it is followed by a deeper analysis using theories such as visual language and aesthetic principles. After all the data has been collected and analyzed successfully, it can be ascertained that this weaving motif has the form and meaning of its previous ancestors and making information media related to Bima weaving becomes easier and relevant to the history of Bima culture.. text |
