INTERACTION DESIGN FOR HOMEPAGE AND ONLINE ASSESSMENT PAGE OF LMS KULIAH ITB WEBSITE USING GOAL- DIRECTED DESIGN APPROACH

COVID-19 pandemic hit Indonesia in March 2020 and forced all of activity in university to be held online. LMS Kuliah ITB website is main instrument in online class activity during pandemic. However, there are some usage problems which hinder ITB students as website users to do the goal, such as difficult to find a class, difficult to submit assignment, difficult to do exam, and difficult to find class material. Therefore, the goal-directed design approach decided as methodology in this research in order to fulfil usage goals from LMS Kuliah ITB user. User requirements gathered by questionnaires and interview. According to observation result, LMS Kuliah ITB has four usage goals: search and enroll specific class, review and download class material, submit assignment, and do quiz/exam. Deliverable of this final project is high-fidelity prototype that built on Figma. Usability testing conducted to LMS Kuliah ITB website user—ITB student. Prototype considered to be successful if fulfilled usability goals (easy to use and effective to use) and user experience goals (helpful and satisfying). The result of usability testing indicate that prototype already has decent interaction and help user to achieve usage goals of LMS Kuliah ITB, as shown on average score of SEQ is 6.93 out of 7 for desktop view and 6.9 out of 7 for mobile view; score of completion rate is 100%; and average score of SUS is 96.5 out of 10. User finds out that interaction design was effective and easy to use and helpful when achieve the goals in LMS Kuliah ITB.
