In the services of Universitas Airlangga Hospital, there are several diagnostic support units, one of which is the Clinical Laboratory unit. This unit works to help detect diseases based on laboratory samples such as blood and urine. In providing its services, the RSUA Clinical Laboratory services have not yet integrated their testing equipment with a Laboratory Information Systems (SIL). This means that laboratory staff still have to enter patient data and submit test results manually. This manual process makes the whole testing process from registration to delivery of test results longer. In addition, it can result in errors in reading. Based on the results of this problem identification, the authors developed a web application-based SIL with a focus on pre-analytic, analytic and post-analytic stages. The pre-analytic stage include patient data input, status-checker, examination time system, and input form. The analytic stage connects laboratory equipment with pre and post-analytic data that can be displayed on a web application. Finally, the post-analytic stage integrates with tools and results, gives color coded indication of anomalies, validation of lab examination results, and an auto-verification procedure if the data is normal based on information from doctors. To see whether the system developed are able to meet specifications, the authors tested the system using blackbox testing, single ease question, and system usability scale method. The tests were done by a developer and four other types of testers to assess its success. The results from the tests carried out showed that the system was able to meet the specifications of the proposed solution to the identified problem text
