PSEL Bantargebang is the first PSEL with the Moving Grate Incinerator (MGI) technology in Indonesia in the project pilot scale. Until recently, there are no studies regarding the PSEL sustainability status from the environmental, economic, and social aspects. A study regarding these three aspects is vital to achieving a PSEL management ‘role model’ on a municipal scale and is currently being developed in 12 Indonesian cities. This study calculated and analyzed data from August – November 2020. PSEL has burnt 4,212.3 tonnes of waste during this period with a 76.03% reduction level and a 582,978 kWh electric supply. The combustion temperature in the furnace reached 700-800oC, while the steam temperature ranged from 310 – 320oC. The environmental aspect parameters were: Global Warming Potential, claiming that PSEL reduced GHG emission by 4,729.35 tonnes CO2 eq; generating energy by 138.4 kWh/ton MSW or 7.225 kg MSW/kWh; generating FABA by 1009.8 tonnes (23.97% from wastes) or 0.17 tonnes FABA/kWh. The current study compared the quality of exhaust gas emission with the emission standard and the leachate products with the wastewater standard in the environmental aspect parameters. In general, based on the study criteria, the environmental aspect was categorized as “good”. The study results in the economic aspects through the cost analysis of social benefit generated a positive ENPV value, 26.57% EIRR higher than the 10% discount rate, and >1 BCR. It indicates that PSEL gives more value than its cost. Through a Likert scale questionnaire, the social aspect study generated a consensus achievement index (IPK) of 80.66% for the social acceptance attribute and 76.77% for the community engagement. It shows that social acceptance and engagement were categorized as “high” to “very high”. From the MDS Rapfish calculation, PSEL Bantargebang was crowned with a “good” status (very sustainable). text
