Description
Summary:The longest river in West Java, The Citarum River, flows over a large area of 12.000 KM². This river that has existed for hundreds of years is a silent witness to human civilization around it. This river spans two provinces, namely West Java and DKI Jakarta. Now, Citarum is the government's homework that never ends. Dayeuhkolot is one of the sub-districts that is passed by the Citarum RIver. Over time, Dayeuhkolot underwent an architectural and cultural transformation. Having its main problem of flooding, in this discussion the problem is divided into two, namely riparian slums and problems of spatial planning and land conversion. However, due to unplanned transformation, in the modern era, it is necessary to design an architectural transformation that is in line with Citarum Harum’s plan to improve the watershed (DAS). The form of transformation carried out is in the form of making a combination of low-rise vertical residential buildings, mosque, public areas, and public facilities. This goal is achieved by using biophilic attributes (ecological architecture), restoration of existing riparian river bodies as naturalization efforts, compact living, and others. This design will occupy a land area of 3.4 hectares in RW 14, Desa Citeureup, Jalan Raya Dayeuhkolot. The design is fictitious project involving the Minister of PUPR in collaboration with the Bandung Regency Government and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Private Parties. This notion of design refers to Presidential Regulation no. 15 of 2018 Article 12 (G) regarding the acceleration of Pollution Control and Damage to the Citarum River Basin.
