The use of coconut coir waste has been widely developed by the community into products such as household tools, farming media, andthe automotive industry. However, there arestill coconut coir processing that does not add to the economic value, such as making coconut coir as fuel. The use of coconut coir can still be optimized to add to the economic value and reducethe amount of untreated waste. This study aims to find the potential development of coconut coir material. The method used in this study is literature study, observation, interviews, and experiments. This research was conducted by taking a case study of coconut husk craftsmen in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Experiments and information from literature and interviews are used as the basis for the search ofpotential product development with coconut coir material. The final result of this research is a sitting facility, most of the material comes from coconut coir text
