DEVELOPMENT OF CAPSULE CLASS FACILITIES DESIGNFOR THE JAKARTA-SURABAYA SEMI-SPEED TRAIN

The train is a favorite mode of transportation for people indoors, especially on the island of Java, the Jakarta-Surabaya route is one of the busiest routes in Indonesia. ahead of holidays or holidays, trains that always experience passenger slavery which have an impact on long queues of people who want to ride the train. Therefore, it needs efforts from the government for residents in this distant mode of transportation.In 2020, the Indonesian government has a discourse to develop a new mode of transportation, namely a semi-fast train that will pass along the Jakarta-Surabaya route with travel speeds of up to 160km / hour. This discourse is a proposal submitted by the Indonesian government to Japan to build a semi-fast train infrastructure and infrastructure. Now the development carried out on the facility design has been completed but there has been no further certainty until now regarding this national research project. The research institute stated that the design for the exterior and train carriage is ready to be tested, but the interior design of the train still needs to be developed.In order to obtain a facility design that can meet specific areas and privacy needs that have not been met, it is necessary to conduct a review of existing railway facilities in Indonesia. The design of the capsule class facilities is expected to meet the needs of these passengers.
