The application of Industry 4.0 paradigm requires basic requirements, which is all production elements such as production equipment, operators and workpieces must have their own intelligence. In order to have intelligence, production elements for instance conventional machine tools need to be equipped with additional modules. Machine tools contribute greatly to energy consumption in the industrial sector. Machine tools used electrical energy as their power source to drive the machine's mechanism when it operates. In general, machine tools do not have control system where they can be built with machine intelligence. Monitoring module which monitored the electrical energy based on current and voltage measurement was chosen because conventional machine tools used electrical power source to activate the motor so that the machine mechanism can operate. Installing the module on machine tools aims to help industry so that they can more accurately determine shopfloor conditions. The energy monitoring module measures the energy consumed by the machine and the measurement data is stored in a database. The measurement data is visualized on the energy monitoring web interface. The results of testing sensor readings were compared with the reading of a comparator measuring instrument, the results of the voltage sensor accuracy was 0,96% and the current sensor was 0,92%. The accuracy of the sensor readings has an accuracy value according to IEC standards no.13B-23 which is classified into group III with an accuracy 1,0%..The energy monitoring module has 6 Wh power requirement and is equipped with a battery that can be operated for 2 hours 25 minutes. The energy monitoring module is considered as level 5 based on Technology Readiness Level. text
