The newest one, SNI 1726:2019 give another classification beside SNI 1726:2002 did. Jakarta as the case of this study, changed from moderate level of seismicity to high level of seismicity. According to SNI 1726:2019, a building located at Jakarta should be designed by using Special Moment Resisting Frame System as its structural system but there are many existing buildings which established a dozen years ago still using Ordinary or Intermediate Moment Resisting frame as their structural system. This phenomenon should make us evaluate the performance level of those existing buildings to the newest expected level of seismicity. In this study, ASCE 41-17 used as references to evaluate the performance level of existing buildings to the newest seismic code according to Basic Performance Objective of Existing Buildings. In this provision, there are tiers that help us to do that evaluation. According to the requirements, linear static procedure used to be the evaluation method in this case. But Nonlinear static pushover will be provided to see the visual performance level. There are two seismic data that use to be a demand to existing building capacity. BPOE required us to take seismicity on 250 years and 1000 years return period, which its performance level target based on their building risk category. The one that couldn’t reach the target of performance level, retrofit should be made. In this kind of case, CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer) is propose to be used. Because it can increase the element capacity of the existing buildings. text |
