Description
Summary:One way to increase accessibility in media is through the provision of closed captions. Closed captions can be displayed in real time with speech recognition based on acoustic signals, however, the quality of acoustic signals is influenced by the speaker and the surrounding environment, so it has its own limitations. The "how" (expression) and"what" (speech) aspects conveyed by the speaker are also important in communication. The acoustic limitations and aspects of communication can be handled with electromyography technology, which is a technology that detects electrical energy in musclesandprocessesthe datathrough with acomputer. This technologyis utilized in this research to design a devicewhich can be used to improve accessibility in media.
