Summary:Indonesia is a country that has geothermal potential which quite high, geothermal is an energy that is stored in the form of hot water or hot steam. One of the processes in utilizing geothermal energy is the exploration stage. Measuring the soil gas that are associated with the geothermal system with a shallow depth in the prospection location of geothermal, are carried out in the stage of preliminary exploration. This soil gas could be analyzed by using the Chromatography gas tools. In this study, the potential zone of the geothermal is determined by analyzing the soil gases. The measurement of soil gas is carried out from August 2020 until April 2021. the value of the soil gas concentration that is obtained is CH4 Gas (0.3 – 32.5 ppm), CO2 Gas (160 – 260 ppm), H2S Gas (0.91 – 48 ppm), Ar Gas (1300 – 7700 ppm), O2 Gas (229000 – 575000 ppm), N2 Gas (447000 – 654000 ppm). Observation were made on the effect of the lithology, structure, and manifestation, along with 222-Rn gas and H2that are dissolved in the manifestation on the concentration value of soil gas with overlaying the map of the distribution of spatial soil gas concentration with the lithology condition. The effect of H2S in manifestation toward H2S gas on the measuring point by seeing the distance between the measuring point and the nearest manifestation. The lithology condition didn’t illustrate the correlation that is significant toward the concentration value of soil gas. The existence of the structure shows the correlation that is significant toward the soil gas concentration. The concentration value of 222-Rn gas has a strong correlation with toward the concentration value of H2S gas, a medium correlation with the concentration value of CH4, concentration value of Ar, and concentration value of N2, and a weak correlation with the concentration value of O2, while the CO2 are not correlated. It is suspected that two domains of potential zone field of geothermal in Patuha geothermal field, are in the northwest and southwest areas of the northern part of Patuha.
