The accumulation of the liquid in the wellbore will give additional backpressure to the formation which may lead to completely kill the well. The well production data history could be used to predict the liquid loaded-up event as the well gas production declining. In offshore operations, space are limited and operational cost typically high. A Proper study for optimization selection is very essential. The selected project must fulfill several requirements as follow: 1). Fit for purpose, 2). Low risk and uncertainties and 3). Economic. This paper will describe the pilot project and continuous improvement process of lowering pressure effort to optimize liquid loading well using wellhead compressor and temporary separator. This paper will also describe about the implementation of critical gas rate to predict the liquid loading event from the well production history. A new analysis method utilizing the Adequacy Chart was proposed to verify the suitability of the available lowering pressure system unit available in the market with the well candidates. Adequacy chart was constructed from of well deliverability, critical gas rate and lowering pressure unit or system capacity. The combination of those three charts will generate an overlapping area which mean that the area is the suitable recommended operating area. Critical gas rate analysis combined with decline analysis could be used to predict when the well potentially will have liquid loading problem in the future. text
