INTEGRATION MODEL OF BATCH SCHEDULING ON SINGLE BATCH PROCESSOR WITH MAINTENANCE SCHEDULING TO MINIMIZE SAVING, SETUP, MAINTENANCE, AND REWORK COSTS

This research discusses the integration of batch processor scheduling models with maintenance schedules for a single item with common due date cases to solve deteriorating problems in the batch processor. The performance criteria used in this research are minimized the total saving, setup, maintenan...

The performance criteria used in this research are minimized the total saving, setup, maintenance, and rework costs. Total actual flow time used in this research as a reference to obtain saving costs parts in the production floor. Preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance are discussed in this research. A maintenance schedule is calculated by ROCOF function or rate of occurrence of failure to estimate failure time, product non conforming possibility, and rework process to be carried out. The number of production runs, the number and size of batches in each production run are used as decision variables in this research. Model solved with Lingo 18.0 software and relaxation method was carried out to determine the number of batches and the possible number of production runs by developing an algorithm. Numerical experiments show this model can solve the integration problem of batch scheduling with maintenance scheduling on a single batch processor. This model sensitive to demand, processing and setup time parameters changing. For the due date parameter, it affects determining the number of batches and the production schedule is feasible or not. text
