This study aims to enumerate machines effectiveness, identify the causes of low machine’s effectiveness, the root cause and determine implementation of handling problems related to machine maintenance at PT. XYZ. The approach that was being used to address the issues is Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). TPM is one of the activities that aims to maintain and increase machine’s effectiveness. One of the indicators of TPM is Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). OEE is an indicator to assess machine performance consisting of availability, performance rate, and rate of quality. The selection of machines used in this study is based on the level of machine capacity and daily output produced, where the machine with the lowest capacity and output was selected. Based on the results of the OEE calculation in this study, it was 72.12%. The result is far from company’s target which is 85%. The major issues that are classified using pareto diagram are sealing result problem for 35%, transfer fault at cutter for 23%, coding result not passed for 16% and sleeves hit suction gripper for 13%. Fishbone diagram tool is used to determine the problem’s root cause. The corrective action that has been taken was able to reduce the incidence of problems on the machines and increase the OEE value machine to 81.16%. Therefore, the TPM implementation at PT. XYZ can help companies solve problems and increase the machine’s effectiveness. text
