This is proved by the 1950 tsunami disaster in Ambon City. As the capital of Maluku province and one of the National Activity Centers (NAC) in Eastern Indonesia, Ambon City is the center of social activity, cultural, economic, infrastructure, and other activities and developments which are generally centered in coastal areas. Of course, this needs attention because the tsunami disaster that can occur at any time will harm the socio-economic conditions of Ambon City. Resilience can be effectively analyzed to assess the socio-economic conditions that affect resilience. The focus of this research was to assess Ambon City's level of socio-economic resilience and methods for increasing the socioeconomic resilience of Ambon City to the tsunami. The level of socio-economic resilience is obtained by comparing capacity and vulnerability from the perspectives of the governance and the people of Ambon City. Before obtaining the toughness value, the capacity and vulnerability values were first weighted using PCA and the weighting efers to the regulation of the head of the Indonesian National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) No. 2 of 2012. From the results of the study, the socio-economic resilience score from the government's perspective is 0,63 and from the community's perspective is 0,457. So that the average socioeconomic toughness of Ambon City is 0,54 which belongs to the low level of resilience. Based on the resilience score, then strategic proposals and interventions that can be done to increase the socio-economic resilience of Ambon City are prepared, namely by increasing capacity and reducing or mitigating vulnerability. text
