ADMINISTRATION DIGITALIZATION ON STUDENT DORMITORY

Digitalization on administration is done to bring a positive impact, whether it is the decrease of physical resource usage and the risk of damage or loss of data, or easiness of administrative data management. Administrative task which can be helped by digitalization is also done on a student dormitory. Digitalization steps are needed to realize a digitalized administration. The digitalization steps are done by implementing digitalization method which is adopted with modification from Huey Yuen Ng and friends’ 2018 methodology for digitalization. Digitalized administration is done on Asrama Sultan Syarif Kasim II which is managed by an organization named Perhimpunan Pelajar Mahasiswa Siak Riau Bandung (Permaisuri Bandung). The implementation of digitalization method is done with the following steps which is, the assessment of current business model, design of digital business model, assessment of current digital capabilities, identification of future digital capabilities, and development of action plan. The resulting solution recommendation in the form of an action plan produced two main goals of the action plans, which is the development of the dormitory’s website and the development of the dormitory’s digital business model. The resulting solution recommendation is evaluated with focus group discussion method by the dormitory’s administrator and resident. The evaluation result concludes that the recommended digitalization method which is proposed is applicable to the student dormitory’s administration. The proposed digitalization method can be used for further development if there’s additions or changes to the dormitory’s business model, or improvement to the dormitory’s digital capability maturity.
