Distinguishes Jordanian women's Dress is that it is simple though difficult to make, for decades, every home in Jordan was not without the traditional clothes that were worn by young and old women. Because there are no establishments that care about textile and hand embroidery, and the occurrence of some social and cultural transformations that reduced the use of the traditional dress. Based on the observations, currently women wear clothes in various forms. However, they do not use decorative embroidery on their clothing. And that Jordanian cultural values are included in this decorative embroidery. This study aims to Recognition the function of decorative embroidery for traditional Jordanian women's dress.. Through analyzing visual design elements and visual design principles, using the semiotic theory of art philosophy according to (Thomas munro, 1951). Through this research, the researcher recommended Supporting the clothing and textile industries inspired by the Jordanian traditional heritage Encouraging the preservation of cultural heritage, providing support to craftsmen by establishing specialized institutions for weaving and embroidery To revive the Jordanian cultural heritage again and save it from extinction text |
