The painting's function will only be fulfilled for a limited time, primarily while the paint is still adhered to the product. The adhesive strength of the paint applied to the product can be measured using a commercial adhesion tester, but the price of this tool is considered quite expensive. Therefore, in this research, a simple adhesion test tool will be designed using an electric pulley with a manufacturing cost that is more economical than the price of a commercial adhesion test tool. The design of this simple adhesion test tool using electric pulley driving power refers to ASTM D4541 Standard Test Method for Pull-Off Strenght of Coatings Using Portable Adhesion Testers. The components and materials used in the design were obtained from surveys on several of internet retailers. After that, the overall cost of creating the tool is calculated. The result showed that a basic adhesion test apparatus with an electric pulley driving power could be manufactured for . It is intended that by constructing a tool that is less expensive than commercial adhesion test tool, it can help to the advancement of research in this sector. text
