Summary: | PT. Pos Indonesia is a State-owned Corporation (BUMN) which is engaged in courier services, logistics, and financial transactions. Currently, PT. Pos Indonesia is in a situation of severe turbulence level. This turbulence was caused by the development of ICT which led to the industrial revolution 4.0. To overcome this, PT. Pos Indonesia took a business transformation. For old companies like PT. Pos Indonesia, which has been around for hundreds of years, this may not be easy. The implementation of transformation in humanware is the hardest thing. One of the problems that occurs is about corporate culture that has not been well implemented. Whereas, the culture that has been appointed by the company serves as a guideline for all employees in facing the company turbulence, change and challenges. The organizational culture required by the company has revealed in the form of a competency model. So, to make sure the human resources have good performance that is in line with the company culture, we must ensure that they have competencies that are required by the company. This research use competency gap analysis by comparing the current and preferred competency of human resources at PT. Pos Indonesia. The assessment tool contains behavioral indicators to measure whether the competency of human resources in PT. Pos Indonesia is in accordance with the competency model required by the company. It was concluded that the current competencies of human resources in PT. Pos Indonesia is in accordance with the competency model required by the company (preferred competency), because the competency of majority of employees and leaders at PT. Pos Indonesia is in the high category. So it can be said the cause of the lack of implementation of organizational culture at PT. Pos Indonesia is not caused by competency factors. Although the current competency of human resources in PT. Pos Indonesia is already good, there are still competencies that can be improved and paid more attention to. The lack of some competencies at the manager level could greatly affect the company's ability to deal with the business transformation. To improve and maintain competency, companies can formulate training and development needs to improve competency. The company must also provide a good work environment. So that with a combination of good competency and work environment, it is expected that performance will also increase. |
