Currently, airport passengers are not only dominated by the upper middle class, but also the lower middle class. In Indonesia, there are already airports in almost every big city. It is undeniable that in the flight schedule there will often be delays and transits, both domestic flights and international flights. It will be annoying if the delay takes hours, as well as the transit schedule for domestic flights and international flights. Delay/transit flights will make passengers wait in the boarding room area or in the transit room. Many users also use waiting chairs for various things, such as playing on their devices, eating, sleeping, etc. Therefore, there is an opportunity for product design innovation to make waiting chairs that can support all these waiting activities. This study aims to find out what the needs of airport passengers are while waiting, identify and map the problems they experience, and can develop and produce recommendations for waiting seats according to the user's activities while waiting. This study was conducted at Soekarno-Hatta airport, especially at Terminal 3 Ultimate, and the research was conducted using quantitative methods. The final result of this study is a waiting chair at the airport that can meet the needs of user activities while waiting for a delay.
