However, PLN as the main electricity network utility provider is not always able to meet it because there is a possibility of disruption at certain times, so alternative energy is needed. Renewable Energy (RNE) especially solar power plant (PLTS) has high potential as an alternative energy that can be applied to supply energy in buildings. However, the intermittent nature of EBT requires storage technology, one of which is the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). In this study, BESS was designed which serves in improving energy resilience at critical facility load in Labtek VI ITB. The design of BESS is divided into two main scenarios, namely the design using Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) batteries and three different lithium ion batteries. The simulation consists of simulating energy production from PLTS using PVsyst software as well as simulating energy consumption and economic aspect using HOMER Grid software. The analysis was conducted based on energy resilience aspects and economic aspects. The main parameter used for the analysis of energy resilience aspects is Battery Autonomy Time (BAT), while for the economic aspect, cost of energy (COE) is used. From the simulation results, BESS obtained using VRLA battery has BAT range for 1 hour 50 minutes to 3 hours 50 minutes. Then for BESS with lithium ion battery obtained BAT range for 3 hours 50 minutes to 6 hours 30 minutes. This range is obtained by entering the maximum or minimum load amount of the load profile for one year. From the economic aspect, COE was obtained at Rp1,433/kWh for BESS using VRLA batteries, as well as Rp2,317/kWh, Rp1,973/kWh, and Rp1,907/kWh for BESS using LGChem RESU 3.3, 6.4, and 9.8 kWh lithium ion batteries, respectively. Based on both aspects, the recommended BESS design is one that uses LGChem RESU 9.8 lithium ion battery because it has BAT on target and is most economical compared to other lithium ion batteries. The Server Room and Engineering Physics Administration Room (TU TF ITB) are examples of critical facilities in Labtek VI ITB that need to be maintained because it is vital in supporting academic activities and administration of lectures in Engineering Physics Study Program.
