One alternative which is very potential to treat industrial <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> wastewater is constructed wetland. Constructed wetland is a planned treatment which is designed <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> and built by using natural process which involve wetland vegetation, soil, and microorganisms to <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> treat wastewater. This experiment purposes to identified the optimum condition of constructed <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> wetland horizontal subsurface flow (HSF) with the variance of vegetation types, organic loading <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> rate, and hydraulic detention time in order to remove COD, BOD, Total Solid, NTK, and Total <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Phosphate parameters in the effluent of anaerobic baffled reactor. In this experiment, we use four <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> constructed wetland horizontal subsurface flow reactor and two kind of vegetation. Organic <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> loading rate which is used is depend on anaerobic baffled reactor (ABR) effluent as a primary <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> treatment with organic loading rate at ABR are 3000 mg/l COD and 4000 mg/l COD, Hydraulic <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Retention Times (Td) 5 days and 7 days. From the experiment, it is known that the optimum <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> removal for COD and total solid is Scirpus grossus with efficiency 98,29 % (Organic loading <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 4000 mg/l COD, Td 7 hari) and 66,74 % (Organic loading 4000 mg/l COD, Td 5 hari).
