The effect aqueous extracts of pegagan (Centella asiatica Urb) herb and beluntas (Pluchea indica Less) leaf on non-specific and specific immune response had been studied in Swiss Webster mice. On the test against non-specific immune response using clearence carbon method, the pegagan aqueous extract at a dose of 150 mg/kg of body weight showed the strongest immunostimulation effect with a phagocytic index of 1.78, while pegagan aqueous extract at doses of 37.5, and 75 mg/kg of body weight and beluntas aqueous extract at a dose of 150 mg/kg of body weight showed a medium immunostimulation effect with phagocytic indexes of 1.35, 1.26, and 1.28 respectively. The three doses of pegagan and beluntas aqueous extracts could stimulate humoral immune response showed by its primary antibody titer, and only the lowest dose which was 37.5 mg/kg of body weight stimulated cellular mediated immune response indicated by the increase of mice footpad thickness on delayed type hypersensitivity reaction test. <br />
