The forms of economic adaptation are carried out by the existence of other sources of income, the existence of housing outside the current location, and the sale of property as capital for improvement efforts. Residents' adaptation efforts to settle down are influenced by several factors, including habit factors (because they are used to flooding), family factors, cooperation and mutual help between residents, strategic location and close to the city center, aid from the government and local communities in efforts to maintain the built environment and build embankments, and the desire to stay.
