Description
Summary:Husein Sastranegara International Airport is located at Jalan Pajajaran No. 156, Husen Sastranegara Village, Cicendo District, Bandung City, West Java, Indonesia. This airport has an area of 145 ha and the average daily number of passengers is 8,763 passengers/day. Husein Sastranegara Airport in addition to its role in providing transportation services for the community, also contributes to the generation of waste (non hazardous waste). Waste management currently being carried out by third parties. This is very unfortunate because Husein Sastranegara Airport actually has the potential to process non hazardous waste and can reduce the amount of solid waste generated. The urgency of processing non hazardous waste from the source is to reduce the potential for waste generation explosions at TPS if there are many passengers on peak season. If processing is not carried out from the source, it will have a negative impact to efficiency of TPS and also high amount of waste which is must be transported to the Sarimukti TPA. One solution for processing waste to reduce the burden of waste that will enter the TPS is through a thermal solid waste process. Non-hazardous solid waste incinerators is a thermal waste process using technology to converts solid matter (in this case waste) into gaseous material (exhaust gas), as well as non-combustible solid materials, namely ash and dust. Non-hazardous solid waste incinerators is carried out until the operating time, which is 2030. All kinds of non hazardous waste will be processed through the incinerator processing unit. The construction of this incinerator is the responsibility of the manager, so the source of funding comes from the manager.
