Region. The Cibeureum River which passes through several region and cities, gives a rise
government on different view to creating unity of Cibeureum Riverside, intensive development
pressures on the riparian area. The threat of climate change greatly affects the hidrological
cycle of river.
The issue of development pressure on riverside area will increase of river pollution threat,
sedimentatiaon, flooding, loss of vegetation and wild animal diversity, and drought.
The study of ripiarian landscape on the Cibeureum Riverside, especially Curug Sigay,
Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Setiabudi Regency, and Pondok hijau Indah, to establish a
riparian landscape design that can reduce rainwater and channels runoff into river, runoff
infiltration into the ground as water reserves, establish resilience of native habitats, to protect
wild animals and as a response to climate change threat, and provide economic, education,
recreation, and restrative, give benefits to the surrounding community.
