PT MGS provide geotechnical, seismic, metocean, airborne, and subsea as a service. Based on internal data, PT MGS had a declined business performance since fallacy of world’s crude oil price in 2015. In the past five years, the company had only reached once of its’ annual revenue target. Based on initial interview, management stated that company’s performance is not in an expected level yet. Literature study shown that there’s a positive correlation between strategic management and performance. Initial step from strategic management is strategy formulation. There is a need for research that focus on corporate strategy formulation for PT MGS which has multiple business lines. Connection between fact findings and literature study shown that PT MGS has fulfilled 3 out of 4 signs of strategic renewal urgency. These facts support importance of corporate strategy formulation research for PT MGS through input stage, matching stage, decision stage, and program development Input stage began with internal key factors identification through existing Business Model Canvas mapping and external key factors identification through PESTEL & Aaker External Analysis. Both steps identified 13 strengths, 9 weaknesses, 13 opportunities, and 11 threats as key factors for PT MGS. These key factors become considered aspects for strategic management to identify internal and external condition of the company. IFE and EFE matrix shown that PT MGS is internally strong with score of 3.07 and externally weak with score 2.29. In matching stage, research focus is to identify appropriate strategy types for PT MGS. Output from input stage used in matching stage to map company’s position in Internal-External (IE matrix). Result shown that PT MGS is on 4th quadrant of IE Matrix (build and grow). This research also mapped company’s position in SPACE Matrix which the result shown that the company is on 1st quadrant of SPACE Matrix (aggressive) with score of (1.27, 1,87). Aggregation of IE Matrix and SPACE Matrix show that integration, market penetration, market development, product development, and diversification are appropriate for strategy classes within company’s condition. These strategy types were developed further into specific strategy by SWOT Matrix. List of strategy from SWOT matrix further validated and aggregated to become eleven corporate strategy list. In decision stage, strategic management gave rating to all strategy list based on its’ attractiveness through QSPM. QSPM generate eleven corporate strategy priority for PT MGS. Each strategy followed with program as final results of this research. text
