This undergraduate thesis entitled “Study of Technical and Operational Aspects of Water Aerodrome Regulations” aims to generate the recommendations for technical and operational aspects of waterbased airport, by knowing and comparing the completeness of technical and operational aspects of existing water aerodrome regulations to conventional airport regulation in ICAO Annex 14 and also from the water regulations. This topic is chosen because of needs in air transport, especially for waterbased air transport and water aerodrome that develops significantly, but not followed by the regulations and also there are some intersections with the water regulations thus there must be some comprehensive study about it. In this thesis the method which is used is descriptive analytics, the method where the data, the technical and operational aspects of existing water aerodrome regulations are collected by doing some literature review then analyzed thus the conclusion can be obtained. The data collecting techniques used in this thesis is literature review which sources are from the journals and internet. The result is the waterbased airport regulation is not complete enough compared to Annex 14 and other water regulations. This comes to recommendations which one of them comes from various parties in a FGD which was held by Directorate General of Air Transportation and Gadjah Mada University. Besides, other recommendations are explained based on the results of regulations completeness analysis.
