The use of technology as a supporting instrument for construction activities is becoming increasingly important as the demand, size, and complexity of a construction project increases. This is because if the technology applied in a construction project can meet various needs according to the characteristics of the project itself, such as increased productivity, work safety, and reduced waste. In Indonesia there are still many conventional methods and technologies, especially insimple projects that are widely worked on by small and medium qualifiedcontractors. Construction technology which is a collection of equipment, materials, software and construction methods seems to be a must to be utilized by small and medium contractors in order to still be able to compete with other construction service businesses. In the last two years the construction sector has experienced new pressures due to the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as faced by other industrial sectors. The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic is reflected in a number of contractors forced to stop operating because they are unable to deal with the dynamics that occur such as limited funds due to budget reallocation, declining market demand, limited available supply, and others. The normal implementation of construction projects became disrupted and had to be adapted to these very limited conditions. Therefore, in an effort to develop the construction industry, it is necessary to improve the performance of construction companies with a focus on contractors in applying technology. This can be done by analyzing the driving and inhibitory factors experienced by contractors, especially small and medium qualifications in using construction technology and analyzing the priority level of technology use by contractors. The research discussed the results of a limited review of contractors' efforts to use/utilize construction technology, especially in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. This study is a reflection of the view of construction actors obtained through limited surveys on small and medium qualifiedcontractors.
