Description
Summary:Food is a primary human need that is very important for life. With the increase in population, the need for food will also increase. This increase in population does not change with an increase in the availability of sufficient food. The land area in Block A5 of the Dadaup Rawa Irrigation Area includes areas that need rehabilitation. The land in Block A5 cannot be planted because the tidal water level in the rice fields cannot be controlled by agriculture. The agricultural land in Block A5 has not been occupied by farmers for 15 years. Problems that occur are due to the lack of optimal wetland irrigation infrastructure, such as floodgates that have not been built, the amount of sedimentation in primary and secondary canals, and the absence of adequate embankments to prevent flooding. To find out the existing flood height, it will be modeled using HEC RAS 5.0.7 software, based on measurements of water level in the channel and also the results of the calculation of the drainage modulus. Modeling using HEC RAS-5.0.7 was also carried out to analyze the hydrotopography of Block A5 covering an area of 1650 Ha. In order to overcome the problem on agricultural land, it is necessary to plan flood embankments in the primary and secondary channels, pumps for excess water and also floodgate to regulate the water level.
