Description
Summary:COVID-19 pandemic caused by the coronavirus is one type of the SARS-CoV-2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2). WHO (World Health Organization) declared COVID-19 as a pandemic on March 11, 2020 and recommended every country has a resilient health system. Indonesia is one of the countries affected by COVID-19, including Bandung City. Bandung becomes the second place of spread after DKI Jakarta at the beginning of the pandemic with an increasing number of cases. The spread of disease outbreaks can be prevented early on if an area has a proper health system. Globally in 2019, the Global Health Security Index (GHSI) has been developed to assess the readiness of countries in the world to face a pandemic and shows that globally the value is still minimum. Furthermore, the concept of health resilience has been developed and used in various studies to improve health system services in the community. This study evaluates Bandung City health system as a basis for designing a health system that is following the framework of the resilience concept. This study also shows that there are aspects that do not meet the resilience indicators, so the Bandung City health system still does not meet the resilience criteria.
